It is imperative to understand first the difference between astrology and astronomy and the association of star signs with the two fields. Astronomy is a scientific study of the objects in the universe including stars and constellations in particular; while astrology is a pseudo-science, a superstition that studies sun, moon, planets, stars and its influences on human personalities and events.
